This is one of my most recent illustrations.  I've been working on my portfolio, adding images based on classic children's literature and my own concepts.  The one below is taken from L.Frank Baum's "Ozma of Oz"  published in 1907.  The scene here is of Dorothy and the hen in the chicken coop after being blown overboard.  The ship they were on encountered a huge storm and Dorothy took shelter inside the chicken coop.  As you can see, I have revamped the image of Dorothy, making her more contemporary.
